Jennifer joined Chambers in 2018 after completing her pupillages with Mr. Russell Coleman S.C., Ms. Maggie Wong S.C., Ms. Elizabeth Cheung, and Ms. Bonnie Cheng.
Jennifer has a broad civil practice, with particular experience in civil, commercial, property and family matters. She has had trial and appellate experience both as a junior counsel and as an advocate in her own right in English and Chinese. She has also advised on and appeared in arbitrations (including emergency arbitrations) and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
Prior to being called to the Hong Kong Bar, Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Harvard University, where she graduated with Cum Laude honours and was elected to join the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society for graduating top 10% of her academic division. She then completed her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Hong Kong, ranking first overall in her year and receiving prizes for best performance in Equity and Trusts, Land Law, Tort Law, and Criminal Law. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor of Civil Law degree at the University of Oxford.

Successfully obtained ex parte and substantive pre-action disclosure orders and ancillary gagging and anonymity orders against the defendant (sole advocate)AIG Insurance Hong Kong Ltd v Lynn McCullough  HKCFI 1649;  3 HKLRD 641 – application to set aside an anti-suit injunction in Hong Kong against non-parties to an arbitration agreement (with Elizabeth Cheung);  HKCFI 1793 – successfully obtained partial leave to appeal the CFI’s decision refusing to set aside the said anti-suit injunction (led by Benjamin Yu S.C. and with Elizabeth Cheung) Chen Jinhui v Wong Kam San & Others  HKCFI 710 – 16-day trial concerning contractual, trust, and restitution claims over shares of a Hong Kong corporation holding interests in mining rights and an iron ore in Liaoning Province (led by Wong Yan Lung S.C. and with Andrea Yu);  HKCA 1522 – Partially succeeded in resisting the Defendants’ application to introduce fresh evidence on appeal (led by Eugene Fung S.C. and with Andrea Yu) (CA) ;  HKCA 513 – Successfully resisted the Defendants’ application for leave to appeal the CA’s decision in  HKCA 1522 (led by Eugene Fung S.C. and with Andrea Yu) (CA) Family / Matrimonial Currently representing the petitioner wife in a hundred-million-dollar ancillary relief case (with Eugene Yim and Bonnie Cheng); appeared in a specific discovery application hearing (with Eugene Yim) LYCP v JEK  HKCFI 1588;  HKFLR 238 - Appeared on behalf of the husband in an 8-day trial (with Deepak Nagpal (now Deepak Nagpal K.C.) and Bonnie Cheng).
